RSM. William H. "Bill" Davies

RSM. William H. “Bill” Davies, formerly of the Royal Artillery, served with No.6 Commando as from at least 9th December 1941 - having suffered injuries including an infra orbital haematoma following the grenade accident aboard HMS Prince Charles on 9th December 1941 during the preparations for the raid on Florø (Norway).

It is noted that TSM. W.H. Davies served in No.5 Troop of No.6 Commando.

RSM William H. Davies served as No.6 Commando Regimental Sergeant Major from, at least, 27th October 1942 until being captured during the Battle for Steamroller Farm on 26th February 1943.

In September 1944, he was reported as being held as POW No. 225748 at Stalag IVB Mühlberg on the River Elbe (Germany).
